CGL Exams

The Certificate of Attainment in Greek is given by the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki and is addressed to anyone who has an interest in learning modern Greek, adults and young people and it:

• Provides to users of the Greek language an expert and objective assessment regarding the level of their knowledge and language skills
• Serves as proof of the successful candidate’s level of attainment in the Greek language.
• Allows foreigners to register at a Greek institution of higher education, in case they do not have a Greek secondary education certificate (Level B2)

The Certificate of Attainment in Greek is the only national, officially recognized by the Greek Ministry of Culture Education and Religious Affairs certificate that confirms the knowledge of Greek as a foreign/second language at 6 levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2

The 2022 CGL examinations are scheduled to take place on the following dates:

Registrations open on 1 February and close on 20 March 2022.

The results of the Centre for the Greek Language (CGL) examinations of 2021 that have only just come out gave our school 100% success with all nine candidates of last year achieving their goals in the examinations for their chosen level!
